Honey Garlic Turkey Meatballs & Rice
Tender homemade turkey meatballs coated in a sweet and savoury honey garlic glaze, served with fluffy rice and fresh vegetables. This high-protein meal is perfect for meal prep, post-workout recovery or a satisfying everyday lunch or dinner.

Ingredients
- 180 g lean ground turkey
- 150 g cooked jasmine rice
- 80 g broccoli florets
- 40 g carrots, sliced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 garlic clove, minced (for the sauce)
- ½ egg (about 25 g beaten egg)
- 15 g whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tsp honey
- ½ tsp rice vinegar
- ½ tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 spring onion, sliced
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp dried oregano
- Salt & black pepper
Preparation
- 1Combine all meatball ingredients and mix well.
- 2Shape into 5–6 medium-sized meatballs.
- 3Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 15–18 minutes or cook in a non-stick pan until golden and fully cooked.
- 4In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic and rice vinegar.
- 5Bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in the cornstarch mixture until the sauce thickens.
- 6Toss the cooked meatballs in the honey garlic sauce until evenly coated.
- 7Serve over cooked rice with steamed broccoli and carrots.
- 8Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced spring onion.
